My Dance Holographic Nail Lacquer in color 001 LS.

I’ve seen My Dance nail polish on a few websites. This particular bottle is from the Beauty Big Bang store site (see the link at the the bottom of the post), and it caught my eye because of the beautiful silver holographic color. Honestly, who doesn’t love a good holo polish?

This polish comes in a 6 mL bottle, which is a mini size that holds about half the amount of polish that an average drugstore brand would contain. I’m totally fine with that because when was the last time you have ever finished off a whole bottle of nail polish? You can still get plenty of uses from this size with little worry of the polish formula getting too old. I also find it great that the date the polish was made and the expiration date are printed on a label on the back side of the bottle so you can keep better track of the age of the formula.

Of note, there is no mixing ball inside the bottle, but I don’t tend to see much separation happen in holo polishes. The actual formula does have a typical nail polish smell, but it’s not overwhelming, and the brush size is good, allowing you to paint your nail in 2-3 strokes.

The one downside to this particular holo is that the polish is a bit on the sheer side. Here’s what one coat looks like:

For a holo polish, there isn’t much opacity to this formula.

I find that it takes 2-3 coats to get the color payout to match what you see in the bottle. This isn’t horrible, but a lot of other holos take 1-2 coats for the same level of coverage.

On the plus side, the holographic quality is stunning! You can still see those coveted rainbows appear on your nails.

This color made a great background for my fall/winter floral manicure below.

This polish dries quickly and does remain chip free for quite awhile. Against the quality of other holo polishes, this one isn’t quite the best due to its more sheer formula. The color is still wonderful, and if you haven’t had the chance to pick up a holo polish yet, this one will definitely cover all the bases.
