Leopard and Jungle Print Manicure

It’s a jungle out there, and here are the nails to prove it!

I started by painting my nails with Aimeili gel polish in 073 Kale. This army green provides the perfect backdrop for jungle foliage. 3 thin coats were applied and cured for a minute each in a 36W UV/LED lamp.

The Beauty Big Bang XL-051 plate has lots of jungle inspired prints. I used portions of the pattern from the lower left hand corner along with Ya Qin An stamping polish in Black on my index and pinky fingers while the 2nd pattern from the left on the top row was used for my other fingers. I opted to take advantage of the diagonal split of the pattern to help create the illusion of elongating my fingers.

I used a reverse stamping technique to turn the leopard spot pattern gold. I chose Demeter from Formula X for its gorgeous holographic effect and painted it over half of the image while it was still on the stamper prior to transferring the design to my nail. I finished it off with a piece of metallic black striping tape to cover the gap between the leaf and leopard print designs.

The final look is kind of funky thanks to that peek of leopard print, but it still looks elegant.
