Here’s a gel polish with a jelly finish: Aimeili’s 016 Tinsel Toast Gold Diamond. For those who don’t know, a jelly polish is basically a tinted clear lacquer, and it usually serves as the vehicle of choice for glitter particles because it still allows glitter to shine through the formula. This particular color from Aimeili features a dusky rose tinted base and features small silver glitter flakes to serve as the “diamonds” that the name of the polish refers to.
10 mL of polish is contained in the bottle, and it comes in the usual sleek Aimeili packaging. A sticker placed on top of the handle shows the color of the polish and is printed with the number 016 for easy identification.
It’s nice to find a leaflet in the box that details the instructions for how to use this gel along with some tips.
This polish is intentionally sheer because it is a jelly formula, but you only need to apply 2 thin coats of color to achieve the coverage shown in the swatch below. Each coat cures in 60 seconds in a 36W UV/LED lamp and remains a little tacky to allow the next coat of polish to adhere correctly until a top coat is applied.
I used this shade to match my flute for a musical manicure that I created.
This polish does not shrink when applied, and the formula paints easily with the brush in the bottle. Thin coats are easily achieved to create a long lasting manicure that will not chip, lift, or peel. I adore Aimeili gel polishes, and you will, too!
