Seems like there’s a lot of talk about jelly polishes lately, especially with the launch of the new sheer tint collection from Maniology. You won’t be able to stamp with this gel polish from Aimeili, but you will be able to create that coveted stained glass look with it!
The jelly polish in question is color 065 Pink Nude, which is a fairly transparent pink tint that resembles rosewater. It comes in a 10 mL bottle and cures in 60 seconds in a 36W UV/LED lamp.
This polish is packaged in the standard Aimeili cardboard box for protection and has an informational leaflet tucked inside.
As with most jelly polishes, the level of pigmentation depends on how many layers you apply. One coat will give you a super sheer look similar to a regular clear lacquer. Two coats, as shown below, give your nail beds a natural healthy pink sheen.
One of the reasons why you might want a jelly polish is to use it for the jelly sandwich technique where you layer glitter or nail art between coats of polish. I applied some holographic flakes from Born Pretty to the swatch above and then cured another two coats of polish over it to seal it in to create the manicure below. Notice how much deeper the pink tint is with a total of 4 coats of color applied.
With some black stamping added to it, you really do get a stained glass window effect from this color.
065 Pink Nude is a lovely color for your jelly polish needs, and it also is perfect for people who desire the protection of gel polish with a more natural look. The formula does not shrink when applied, and manicures with Aimeili polishes last for weeks when you follow their instructions properly. The brand truly is one of the best for low cost gel polishes on the market.
