Cat Lovers Nail Art

Welcome, spring! I wanted to do something soft and pastel for the season, so here are some cute and cuddly cat nails in pink and gray!

I started by painting my nails a pale pink. This one is color 003 from Mefa. I applied 3 thin coats, curing each layer for 60 seconds in a 36W UV/LED lamp.

3 coats are necessary to get full coverage with Mefa gel polish in color 003.

The cats and paw prints were added with stamping using the BP-102 plate from Born Pretty. This plate is unfortunately no longer available on their website, which is a shame because it’s adorable!

I stamped the pair of cats on my ring finger nail and placed the paw print pattern on my other nails using Born Pretty Stamping Nail Polish in color 444, a light grey.

Color 444 is currently only offered in a 6 mL bottle size.

I also applied a layer of Born Pretty Tempered Matte Gel Top Coat for a velvety finish. It cures quickly (30 seconds does the trick), but it always seems to burn my nails in the lamp! I’m glad my lamp has a low heat setting.

It’s a shame I don’t have a cat to pose with, so I picked a soft scarf as my prop instead.

Let me know if you’re Team Cat or Team Dog in the comments! Happy polishing!
