Every nail artist should have a good black polish in her arsenal of colors, and Aimeili’s gel polish in color 007 Blackpool is the perfect inky shade to complete your collection.
This lacquer comes in a 10 mL bottle that is boxed in Aimeili’s classic packaging. A sticker with the number 007 printed in white against a black background is placed on the top of the handle so you can identify the polish color inside.
An informational leaflet is folded and tucked inside the box. This paper, scanned below, contains the instructions for use, tips, and frequently asked questions for the product, which is super helpful for beginners.
The actual polish is easy to apply and cures in 60 seconds per layer in my 36W UV/LED lamp. As this is a darker color, it is important to paint thin coats of polish to ensure that the formula cures properly or else you will find that you will need to use a longer curing time. 2 coats will give completely opaque color coverage and leave your nails perfectly black and shiny. The surface will remain tacky until a top coat is applied, so this does not necessarily mean that your polish is not cured.
I used Blackpool as the base for a series of swatches of holographic top coats, and the gel did not budge at all despite being exposed to acetone multiple times. It also served as the base for the new age crystal manicure below to create a cool galactic background behind the design.
When applied properly, you can expect the gel to stay put for multiple weeks without any chipping, lifting, or peeling. I can attest that Aimeili gel polishes are of good quality and are on par with brands that are double the price. If you want your manicures to last, this is definitely the polish for you!
