Today’s manicure was mostly inspired by a polish. Unfortunately, the indie polish brand Pretty & Polished is blowing out their inventory on Etsy right now because the business is folding. You bet I placed an order! But the process made me look through my current collection to make sure I didn’t get any dupes. There are a lot of untried polishes that I have from them that I will be attempting to feature, and this beautiful purple crelly called Perfect Purple Posies is one such polish. I applied 3 coats to all my nails and then shed a tear over the fact that this company won’t be producing lacquers like this anymore!
A polish like that is perfection on its own, but I chose to amp up the purple power with some reverse stamped flowers. I chose to make half moon decals with the Born Pretty Spring Garden-L011 plate.
I stamped the pattern in the middle row, 2nd from the right of the plate with B281 Littlefoot, a vivid grape color from Maniology (use code FINEPOLISH10 to save 10% off your order there). While the image was on the stamper, I used a holographic lavender polish from Kiko Milano in color 004 to fill in the flowers, allowed the decal to dry, then stamped the image directly onto my nail.
I used a generous amount of Seche Vite top coat over my manicure for that beautiful glossy shine.
I think this came out a lot better than I was expecting it to. Purple is not really a go to color for me at all, but I’m obsessed with how this came out!
