I get excited whenever I hear about peel off polishes. They remind me of when I was a little girl and obsessed with one from FAZZ (just say yes to plastic jewelry and make up combos!). It was a bright hot pink color, and it was so much fun to peel off. With a few cries of anguish thrown in, I even managed to fool my brother into thinking that my nail was coming off!
But enter ATORS Nail Lacquer in MS03, the adult version of peel off polish. It comes in a very grown up 16 mL bottle and is a beautiful purple-gold-blue multichrome color. There are a few holographic sparkles thrown into the mixture, but they do not really show up when painted on your nails.
Because this is a peel off polish, I would suggest that you not use a base coat. Also, if your nails are dry, it is ok to put on some lotion or hand cream prior to painting so that the polish is easier to peel off later.
The application of the formula is pretty smooth, but if you leave the bottle open for too long, the polish starts to dry around the opening and gets a gummy sort of texture reminiscent of drying school glue. Under normal circumstances, you should not run into this problem. I think this happened because I had the cap open to get the picture of the brush above.
The bottle says that this polish is water based, so I recommend that you use a top coat. You wouldn’t want your polish to melt off when you wash your hands, would you?
I tried to take a video to show the color shift in the polish. You can see it turn from a deep purple into a steely blue, particularly on my pinky. The chameleon effect is rather subtle, but it’s there.

Just got some #Ators multi chrome polish and am enjoying watching the colors shift from dark steely blue to purple. 💙💜 #multichromepolish #chameleonpolish #colorshift #multichrome #bornprettystore #finepolish #polishswatch #nailswatch #nailpolish #manicure #mani #notd #nails #nailspo #nailsofinstagram #cutepolish #nailsoftheday #unhas #ongles #nailswag #nailporn #instanails #prettynails #nailedit #staypolished #nailspotting #💅 #nailsonfleek #bbloggers
A fun part of this polish is that if you happen to get some on your skin, you can rub it off quite easily with a finger. It dries on skin the same way that school glue does, so that makes clean up very easy.
That being said, don’t expect to get a lot of wear out of ATORS Nail Lacquer. I had polish start to fall off my nails during normal activities a day after I painted them.
The good news is that you can easily peel this polish off your nail in one large piece. To remove it, slip an orange stick or similar tool along the edge of the polish (try from a bottom corner near the cuticle) and lift up. The whole piece should come off intact and fairly easily.
Even without a base coat, this polish does not stain your nails. Also, because I moisturized my nails prior to painting them, there was no damage done to them during the peeling process.
In summary, if you get a kick out of peeling off your polish and/or don’t like using acetone nail polish removers, this is definitely something to try out. It’s not made to last more than a day so keep in mind that if you use your hands a lot, this may not be a good choice for you.
In terms of a chameleon polish, this one has subtle effects, although the color is a gorgeous purple. I have to take a diamond away only because the polish is so sheer that it takes a few coats to make it look nice. Considering how much time it takes to apply and dry versus how long it lasts and takes to remove it makes it seem like it’s not worth the effort. Then again, if you are gluing rhinestones to this polish, the peel off aspect makes it worth its weight in gold!
