If you saw my last manicure, you will remember that the glitter that I used was an integral part of the design. Today I’m going to do a review of it for you so you can really check it out!
This item came from Beauty Big Bang (see the details at the end of this post for links and a promo code) and is listed on the website as SKU: J2837-12A. The item page states that 3 mL of glitter is inside the container, so I guess the item is sold by volume rather than weight unless they meant to write grams rather than milliliters. It arrives in a small plastic container with a screw top, and the opening is sealed to prevent the contents from spilling out during the shipping process.
No color name is attached to this product, but the unofficial name for this glitter is the mermaid mix due to its oceanic shades. The pieces are basically transparent with an iridescent sheen that makes them appear anywhere on the color spectrum between magenta to seafoam green to heavenly blue to unicorn purple. This is truly unlike any glitter you have ever seen!
It’s getting close to the beginning of a new year, so I wanted to try to make a whimsical looking manicure. I don’t know about you, but 2017 was a doozy and not particularly one of the better ones! Here’s to blowing away the bad stuff and wishing for something wonderful for 2018!
I tried to pick a pretty light blue base to act as my sky backdrop. This color is called Siren Melodies from Femme Fatale, an indie brand, and my pictures don’t do it justice. Aside from the beautiful crelly mix that allows the holographic glitter particles to show through, this periwinkle shade also is iridescent and has a pinky-purple sheen at different angles that gives this color a lot of dimension.
