Who can say no to a good box set? I’m a sucker for buying collections of items, so it’s no shocker that I end up with so many nail polishes. They’re just so small and colorful! Today we’re looking at a 12 bottle set of gel polishes from Mefa. They are super affordable and come in a cute box set that is perfect for gift giving.
The back of the package lists the ingredients and warnings. As with all gel polishes, you should test a little bit of the formula on your skin for a few minutes to make sure you don’t have an allergic reaction to it prior to curing it on your nails.
Today we’re going to look at a thermal crelly polish from Born Pretty from the same Glitter Thermal collection that the color Cloud of Purple Sky came from. Today’s color, Cerulean Stars, is a beautiful light blue when cold and turns into a mostly clear jelly with glitter when warm.
This small 6 mL bottle doesn’t include a mixing ball, so it’s a little hard to make sure the formula is agitated thoroughly.
Today’s review covers some of my favorite things: glitter, color changing polish, and peel off ability! Would you believe that you can get all of this out of one product?
This magical polish comes from Born Pretty’s Glitter Thermal series, and the color featured here is BP-GT02, Cloud of Purple Sky. It is a beautiful lilac shade when cold and turns platinum silver when warm.
There’s a typo on the box: it should read “Cloud of Purple Sky” as the name of the color.
Have you ever looked at a collection of nail polishes and said that you need to buy them all? If you’re reading this blog, the chances are pretty high that you have! I was absolutely mesmerized by the holographic effect in Born Pretty’s Black Datura Series that I couldn’t resist the opportunity to snag all three polishes in the collection!
These nail lacquers are not colors per se but are holographic top coats that you can apply over any kind of nail polish to transform it into something even more gorgeous! The glitters in these vary in size and amount depending on the polish as you will see in the swatches later in this post.
Three of a kind and oh so dazzling! The Black Datura Series (left to right): BP-BD01 Lady Vengeance, BP-BD02 La Vierge de Fer, and BP-BD03 Portrait of a Lady.
I’m still busy working through my collection of Aimeili gel polishes, so today’s review is on number 113 Strongylodon Macrobotrys, a beautiful vivid sky blue in a creme finish.
Truly a gel polish color like no other! You don’t see blue shades like this that often.
This color really stands out in my collection because it’s not a shade that gets duplicated a lot. It makes me think of fun tropical drinks and blue cotton candy, so you’ll need to have a fun personality to pull this shade off!
Seems like there’s a lot of talk about jelly polishes lately, especially with the launch of the new sheer tint collection from Maniology. You won’t be able to stamp with this gel polish from Aimeili, but you will be able to create that coveted stained glass look with it!
The jelly polish in question is color 065 Pink Nude, which is a fairly transparent pink tint that resembles rosewater. It comes in a 10 mL bottle and cures in 60 seconds in a 36W UV/LED lamp.
